Hello Everyone,
I have been doing some study on the Apochrypha and am in need of some historical help, but don't know where to go.
My study has led me to the book written by Judith. In Judith 1:1, Judith speaks of Nebuchadnezzar as the King of Nineveh. But in 2 Kings 24:1, Nebuchadnezzar is reported to be the King of Babylon. At first glance, I thought maybe it was a different King by the same name, but I believe that both books are referring to the same King. So, I posed this question to a few Catholics that I know and was told that the Babalonian empire included the city of Nineveh, therefore, Nebuchadnezzar was indeed the king of Babylon and the king of Nineveh. Is this true? Did the Babalonian Empire include the city of Nineveh?? I don't even know where to begin to verify this one, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Anthony
