"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
Revelation 22:16

Now compare the above verse to these:

"And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
Philippians 2:8

"They will all respond, they will say to you, 'You also have become weak, as we are; you have become like us." All your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps; maggots are spread out beneath you and worms cover you. How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.' But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit".
Isaiah 14:10-15

Add these to Jesus statement about bringing "not peace, but a sword" and it seems JESUS IS THE ADVERSARY.

Rev. 22:16

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

(He is compared to a bright "morning" star, which shows the night is going off and the day is coming on, and is the phosphorus, or bringer of light;
as Christ by his first coming, who was then the dayspring from on high, put an end to the night of Jewish darkness, and sprung the great Gospel day, so often spoken of by the prophets, and brought life and immortality to light by the Gospel, and showed the way to eternal life by himself;
so by his second coming, to which this character refers, he will put an end to the night of antichristian darkness - John Gill)

Isaiah 14:12

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(Lucifer - heylel - brilliant star, a title given to the king of Babylon to denote his glory.)

These quotes are taken from the King James Version of the Bible, which version others may use, will determine the language used - however the message remains the same.

You're correct about 1 thing though, Jesus IS the adversary, of all that is unholy, unrighteous, unrepentant and unregenerate.
