Seventh Day Adventists/Sabbath

So very quickly because I have to get to work, but what does this group of religious people believe exactly? My friend just started going to their church, and I've been trying to convince him otherwise but I need some more information. I know they say one must observe the Sabbath because Jesus did. And they are heaven on the end times and prophecy but thats all I know.
And second what are some verses that demonstrate that one doesn't HAVE to keep the Sabbath because Jesus is our Sabbath and rest now any day!

A couple of things for starters. The 10 commandments are their rule of life and they believe in the prophecies of Ellen G White.

Wow thats some odd stuff I dont think my friend has heard about yet. All I could tell is their importance of the Sabbath. But from what I know Christ is our Sabbath, our rest. And though I dont believe we just do away with the Old Testament Commandments... I dont think we HAVE to observe the Sabbath weekly.. I mean each day should be our rest in Christ. I just dont know if I have enough Bible verses to prove that.
What is soul sleep? I know he talked about something like no one goes to Heaven until Jesus 2nd coming that their soul just waits to enter, is that what ya mean by soul sleep? I dont see where they get any biblical references for that. That thing about sins on Satan as the scapegoat is odd.. Jesus took the sins of His people not Satan.

I ran into a man a couple months ago while I was just sitting at the pharmacy while they filled a script, an older man struck up a conversation on a couple topics, after which he let me know that he had 2 doctorates, 1 from stanford and another I cant remember, but when we talked about Jesus, he let me know that as an Adventist, they believe Jesus is just Michael the archangel (like the JW's):eek: now I know, the adventists are not a group I have really studied or had very little interaction with in my life, I know one wo used to be an Adventist but God called him out, our dear brother Bob Higby:)

There are a few different groups of Adventists under the same conference. Some believe White predicted everything including 9/11, others almost disregard her completely.
