Grace....All of Grace

It has been quite a journey to get to this point in history. I am eternally grateful for the "Confessions of a Hyper-Calvinist" article and the "Response to Phil Johnson" article. When I read those, the chains fell off in my Christian experience. I spent so much time, trying to do my best in the church, serving the Lord, but in reality my walk with the Lord became about my performance in being able to be better, as opposed to having a vibrant relationship with my God. This is so vitally important. If you are having problems in any relationship at the moment, check your relationship with the Lord first.
The Lord is great, in that He teaches through our many failures that it is not our efforts to co-operate with grace that helps in our position with Christ, but it is the Righteousness of Christ ALONE that saves, and causes the fruit of the Spirit in our lives to grow. This is how true righteousness is born into our lives.
If anything, going back to the evangelical movement has really hammered these realities into place, once and for all. I even went to the lengths of spending some money on some books to really nail any idea of "going back" to the religious world I have left behind. I bought myself Gadsby's Hymns, biographies of William Gadsby, J. K. Popham and John Kershaw. I have been going to the nearest Gospel Standard church for a few weeks now, and have thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship there. I can really be myself, and express myself knowing that I have real fellowship without any pretense. Much like getting involved with the Sunday night conferences. I have learned much from the Lord through these meetings also. I thank you for making this forum possible. It is great to be a part of it. I look forward to more fellowship with anyone that wants to talk to me. I just want to be an encouragement to this body of believers. May the Lord Bless you ALL ALWAYS!
Grace and Peace to you!
Love in Christ,
Kevin.
