    I too would say no. The Scripture doesn't refer to God as Allah and condoning the use of that name is the same to me as agreeing that it is ok to worship a different god than who He has revealed Himself to be.

    No! and Christians should not use the terms, Christmas (Christ's Mass) to refer to Christ's birth. Nor the term Eucharist for the Lord's supper. Nor the terms Advent, Lent, Sacrament and the rest of the non scriptural terms to represent the truth of our Lord revealed in the scriptures. But false traditions and blatent falsehoods will remain as blinders for the unregenerate.

    Unfortunately Bob, I know a few Arab Christians that know no other name for God than Allah! They would obviously oppose to using Jehovah, as it is Jewish, but, these sincere (but often sincerely wrong) Arabs, know no other name for God than what they have heard from their culture.
