Refiner's Fire

Well I didn't want to post in the actual forum as this is more just some silly little comment. But I was looking over the forums and noticed one called this " Forum: New Testament Studies Discussions regarding NT passages or issues impacting the predestinarian view of the gospel."


That sounds interesting to me.. I was curious is that a place where we can discuss new testament books we read? as long as it is enlight of the Gospel?
Because not necessarily a "bible study" but I would like to be more challenged somehow. And I think reading over books of the Bible and discussing passages that relate to our beliefs would be cool, or ones that are questionable. Not to bring it up but like discussing James... or other places in the Bible that do not necessarily "fit" with our beliefs. Sometimes it could just be a misinterpretation or the author really did mix it up.



I think I will challenge myself to start at Matthew and begin reading through the New Testament. Hopefully there will be others interested or bring up challenging questions.


OH! And another one says "Practical Outworking of the Gospel" discussing the nature of good works we are to walk in. I like that one. Sure we all struggle with sin, actually I probably do the most because I feel like I am constantly surrounded by temptations. For so long it was always do this or that from the religious point of view because you had to not out of love for God. Its hard to start over with a new mindset.. I mean before it was literally do not touch, do not taste, etc. No drinking, no smoking, no no no. Like extra boundaries from what God said, very legalistic.

I want to find some happy medium... I think for awhile I just rebelled against it all a little too much.



I dont know what those forums will be used for because there are no threads in them right now... so I will just wait and see, and hope for something challenging and a new. Sometimes its hard to motivate yourself.. if that makes sense.
