The Great Neo-Conservative Victory

Rate this Entry
A super-big triumph for Neo-Conservatism was achieved today in the U.S. In fact, it was SO huge that the Hastert doctrine (the policies of the majority Republican Congress of 2003-2006) should be enshrined forever as the true heart and soul of the Republican party.

We learned that the Republican gains of the 2010 election were absolutely nothing but a justification of returning to the Hastert doctrine, which is really the doctrine of the Bush-Clinton-Obama New World Order: Central Bank controlled Keynesian economics. Cut taxes, spend more money. A 2-percent cut in the payroll tax was agreed to along with a 13 MONTH EXTENSION OF UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS (now 155 weeks) costing in the hundreds of billions. No method of paying for the unemployment benefits was even considered, it is all charged on the credit card--just like two wars in the last decade, the prescription drug program, TARP, the economic recovery and reinvestment plan, the many corporate bailouts, the bailout of several states, and the bailout of several countries through the IMF. The politicians of this country have such a love-affair with debt that they have hopelessly sinned away their day of opportunity to reverse the Ponzi scheme--forever.

I, for one, am finished with U.S. politics. I can only place my confidence in God and trust Him to run the future. Some day I may leave this country and become a non-resident or even renounce citizenship--I don't know yet. But I know that the best of political promises to change things toward BASIC constitutional sanity is futile.

That's my view. I know that my best friends will disagree, however, I know that I'm right on this one!

I am sorry Bob but I can't disagree with you on this so far.

I agree Bob, life on the plantation is on the decline.
God is our only hope and refuge. In time and through God opening the eyes of His elect, through the current and up coming calamities, all those that are his will see this beast for what it is and know that our peace comes not from nationalism and constitutions, but from His sovereign hand.

Blessed are the one eye'ds in the valley of the blind.

Well the pubbies don't control either house YET, so I don't see how it was a victory for REPUBLICAN neo-conservatism. The TEA PARTY candidates haven't even been seated yet.

A large number of those who supported the Tea Party are for this deal, which will be confirmed once the vote is public and final. The lack of courage on the part of Republicans to 'draw a line in the sand' on the unemployment benefits extension is obviously a re-run of all the cowardly giving-in to uncontrolled spending programs that has dominated the American political landscape since the Hoover administration took office.

I will continue to vote on proposition issues here in California--since those are a matter of principle. I will not vote in most General Election races since 'Top Two' (prop 14) has passed here and I cannot in conscience vote for someone who stands against the majority of what I believe even if the opponent is totally reprehensible (example: Meg Whitman). In the primary races I will only vote for someone with a record (not promises) of standing for true constitutional liberties and original intent. I don't expect anything to turn around except for the power of God--and as yet we don't know if He is going to act in awful condemnatory judgment on the wickedness of the U.S. But as I see it, any liberties we still have are due to His restraint on the wicked plans of controlling men/women and not due to the faithfulness of any politicians.

Jim Demint just said he'd vote NO! He's a tea party guy. Read this thread.

Good for Jim! However, the filibuster is dependent on the Democrats hating the extension of the tax rates. The reason: few 'conservatives' will join Demint. Right now I just watched Michelle Malkin--even she is not willing to oppose the compromise even though she hates the unemployment extension and admits that it will cost hundreds of billions (when you add up federal, state, and employer costs).

I listened to an address from my company CEO yesterday. He eloquently pointed out what is destroying companies and why they won't hire: the burgeoning DEBT of countries because of their Ponzi schemes, the health care bill and its unlimited costs (including the sin tax on science), and all the new increased regulations and taxes (energy, etc.) planned. The huge decrease in profits that companies will experience due to these events cannot be offset by supply side tax cut economics.

The cover story for Tea Partiers is that, with decreased revenue, President Obama will have agree to decreased spending. But that's not going to happen. After President Bush signed the Tax Cut bill, did he decrease spending? No, he fought two wars, approved an unpaided for Medicare Program costing trillions, and went on an orgy of wasteful new government spending without paying for anything.
