THE DEATH OF RELIGION

Below I have supplied a link to an interesting article. Here is a small excerpt from that article

http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/23/religion-to-go-extinct-in-9-countries-experts-predict/

He said Protestantism “has reached the strange state of self-liquidation,” that Catholicism was in severe crisis, and anticipated that “religions are likely to survive in small enclaves and pockets” in the United States.

Why should this be so?

In nearly all the organized Christian faiths , religions , denominations and churches, I have seen and witnessed a lack of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Said “whom the son sets free is free indeed”. However, are church goers really free?

No way!

The average church members/goers are so bogged down with burdens that are placed on them.

Some of these burdens are:

Mandatory church attendance at all church functions.

Tithing + extra monetary support.

Donation time and skills

Participation in the sacraments to save or nurture one’s soul.

Submission at all costs to the clergy or minister.

These are just a few, I’m sure those of you who were enslaved can tell us more.

Where is this freedom in Christ?

This freedom can only come from a true understanding of Gospel Justification!

Now I know some will say that all the Christian churches teach, preach, and mention the Gospel. However what these churches are promulgating is a false gospel. Which in reality is no Gospel at all!

These souls that are subjected to this false gospel bondage are starting to get bored with their religion. For it no longer satisfies their empty souls. So they get up at leave their church.

Now I for one do not blame them!

Just think of those charimaniac pentecostal folk who jump, hoot, holler, scream, laugh, yap in some unknown gobooly gook, fall down, roll and shake around. All that for no avail. They still have NO Gospel. They are not free at all.

Roman Catholics and Protestants are not free. As long as the Sacraments are necessary for salvation, they forever will be subjected to occult superstition and mysticism. Still there is NO Gospel for them.

I can go on and on to show the negative consequences of teaching a false Gospel.

So in closing..Let the Death Of Religion Continue.

Religion never saved anyone. Only Christ has saved His people. And His people are free indeed.

Amen

Nicholas

Amen brother Nick..............we are free indeed from religion and self righteousness of any sort. Christ's righteousness belongs to His people..................not religion! Thanks for the blog, good to read you again.

I find it interesting that the power-mongers of churchianity insist we must continue to use terms such as 'religion' and 'church' in our gospel vocabulary. Those terms have never been anything but a curse--throw them out forever and ever! They are certainly not in the Bible. Religion in the Greek is the same thing as superstition. Church as a derivative of kuriakos serves no purpose but to institutionalize and make irrelevant the unique gospel testimony of Christ's body. Gordon Clark defended the proposition that Christianity is NOT a religion of any kind and we should always hold to that standard. Religion is man reaching up to God by his superstitious works; the Christian gospel is ever and always God reaching down to man apart from any initiating act toward God by man--even 'faith'.

    Nick,

I was raised in the Pentecostal frenzy that you mentioned in your article. I reject it all as garbage (I would use a different word that matches my feelings closer but won't). I have numerous Pentecostal pastors in my family and I know for a fact that not one of them knows anything of the Gospel that we find in Scripture, and it makes me so angry that they have vomited their heresy and trash on so many in my family. I want to scream when I talk to my Mom about the Gospel and I hear the crap that she has been taught by the "pastors" in our family; they are devils, not pastors; they speak from their father the Devil and do what he wants. Thank you Nick.

Wow, trav, I can certainly relate somewhat. My wife and I and my son are the only ones that I know who seem to understand the Gospel. My own mom and dad recently rejected everything I believe in a very violent way and embraced their new muslim son in law and his peaceful religion..... I am the bad terrible and judgemental guy in the family only because I was such a mean person and told my sister that it would be a bad idea to marry this guy..

It's funny, my Dad told me what he thought about this site: "Predestination is such a hard pill to swallow. Your website has such mean and terrible things on it that you write, and your mother and I are shocked you have these people cheering you on."

I'm sorry to hear that Brandan. The verse that comes to mind is "you will be hated by all !"(Matt. 10:22). It's crazy for me to think that the message that we proclaim of a perfect salvation based on Christ alone appears as hateful to the unregenerate. We serve such a loving and awesome God!
