A few days ago it was reported on CBS News that Wichita Falls, Texas (where I live) had more days over 100 degrees than any other cities in the United States. That means we beat Phoenix, Arizona by a few days. That was true a few days ago anyway. Even that was not hot and dry enough for us. We ate jalapenos and had fires all over the state just to make it a little bit warmer.

That's how we roll in Texas!

It reached 70° here in Boise, I almost started to sweat.

A lot of people have lost homes from the fire and the drought has been hard on farmers and ranchers. The only thing that I have lost was some grass and maybe a tree. Time will tell about the tree.

It's crazy what has been going on down there. I'm surprised we have had a pretty quiet fire season this year, we usually get some pretty nasty fires.

Waco, Texas wasn't far behind. We did receive almost 6" of rain here over last weekend. Shows God's sovereign power in His creation.
