"Now grace in the heart of one child of God will ever unite with grace in the heart of another. If there be jars and divisions, if there be dispute and contention in churches and among individuals, let not these be fathered on religion. It is not grace but lack of it that gives them birth and maintains them in being. So far as grace rules and reigns, so far as the life of God is made manifest in the conscience, there is a blessed bond of union among the family of God. This bond of union may indeed lie very deep or be much hidden and covered—the brook of love that once flowed strong and clear may be diminished to a trickling rill—circumstances may separate the chief friends—ministers may be divided, churches split, congregations dispersed, the dearest ties severed—because iniquity abounds the love of many may wax cold. But love itself can never die, for life and love are so one that love can only die with life, and life the with love." -J.C. Philpot

    Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the rep, ya, I understand why it's a difficult thing to accept...I actually refused to even look at what was being said for quite a while, hearing a little of the buzz and thinking "what nonsense!" but when I did look into it, it was almost an accidental occurance, I think I was looking into something else at the time, and somehow saw a little clip that got me thinking...and then when I really added it all up, I was humiliated, hurt, angered, saddened, and disgusted in huge waves for days, and my sleep was not very good....I understand not wanting to know because the truth can be very disturbing....but we are not of this world

Wow, a cop AND a forester on this site. That's pretty darn cool. I bought my son a toy logging truck for Christmas (handmade in the Ozarks).
  14. View Conversation
Before I became a cop, I cut logs for fifteen years in the Pacific Northwest. Enjoyable job, but risky and no benefits. As a forester, you know the trade.

Mystery, Paradox, and the Free Offer of the Gospel

by Forester07 on 10-18-2009 at 02:57 PM
Recently, a friend referred me to a blog post written by R. Scott Clark entitled Hyper-Calvinism, Rationalism and Antipredestinarians. Here is the link (http://heidelblog.wordpress.com/2008...m-rationalism/ ) Throughout this blog Clark attempts to show how the free offer of the gospel is essential to sound doctrine and correct understand of true Calvinism. Those that hold to the free offer of the gospel basically say that salvation is offered to all men, even the reprobate. In

Why Christians Shouldn’t be Environmentalists

Why Christians Shouldn’t be Environmentalist

Global Warming, Climate Change, Pollution and many other environmental concerns are all very important in our society today. Being GREEN is the new catch phrase and to not jump on the environmentalist bandwagon is to bring ridicule and even hatred. Carbon taxes are the new things for governments and corporations to implement. Recently I flew on a British Airways flight from London to Phoenix where I had the choice to pay a voluntary

Great Blog from Baldwin

Here is a snippet

In order to "preserve the Union," Lincoln destroyed the very principles upon which the Union was created. His audacity is without equal. For example, to prevent a possible vote of secession by the Maryland legislature, Lincoln ordered federal troops to seize and arrest the Maryland congressional delegation. And of course, he was more than willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands

Romans 3:10-31

by Forester07 on 01-05-2009 at 05:05 AM
Here is the exposition I did of Romans 3:10-31 that I posted in the "What Righteousness is imputed to the elect?" Poll/Thread.

Romans 3:10-31 Exposition
By Forester07

Romans 3:10-18 as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; - 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. - 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one." - 13 "Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues

A New Constitutional Convention?

by Forester07 on 12-18-2008 at 08:57 AM
It looks like there are people out there who are wanting to hold a new Constitutional Convention to formulate a new constitution for America. Chuck Baldwin talks about it here.
http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/c200..._20081216.html

It this ever happens then America as we know it is doomed.
