- Biography
- I'm terrible at this... umm... I have very wide-ranging interests as can be seen below, and consider myself intermediate to advanced in most of those fields... I hate two things:
1. Churchian traditions, for which I have a hatred "exceedingly violent in its nature", and
2. Doing silly/tacky/stupid things merely for the sake of laughing and pointing out how silly/tacky/stupid it is, for example to watch a tacky tv-series to point out all instances of tackiness
I love music, virtually all kinds of music: Classic, pop, hip-hop, gangsta rap, metal (incl. black and death metal), grunge, country, blues... Jazz is borderline while some metal genres seem very silly for people over 14 years of age.
I also love the yuppie/DINK lifestyles. Thus, two of my fav. films are "Wall Street" and "American Psycho".
I'm interested in politics, but since I honestly believe I have the answers to all political dilemmas I seldom engage in it these days. My politics are libertarian: I'm against EVERYTHING but a police force, a military and a judiciary. My greatest influence is Robert Nozick (RIP) because he considers different viewpoints, which Ayn Rand usually doesn't.
I love philosophy as well. I'm currently "philosophising" over the phenomenon I call "the normative as truth" (like WVQ I reject a synthetic-analytic distinction). Central tenets in my thinking are empiricism, pragmatism, existentialism (as per Sartre) and relativism; that is, I consider these when "acting Socrates". That's apersonal enough for ya...
