After happily studying evangelical theology in France God didn't give up on me and called me to be an independent faith missionary in India where I found out that all I really needed is John 3:16...
But I am still interested in theology as long as it has some practical value and application.

It is belief in the heart as opposed to just belief in the mind.

Yes, it is possible for a person to believe the truth and not at all walk in good works.
Assurance
The Spirit graciously gives assurance to those who assent to the truth. Good works have no part in producing assurance in an individual.
