- The spiritual living bond uniting the believer to Christ resulting in a certain knowledge and a hearty confidence in all that God in reveals in His Word.

- Ephesians 2:10: Even good works are prepared beforehand (predestined) to be performed by the one saved by grace through faith alone and not of works.

- Assurance is "faith." It is faith in the perfect righteousness of Christ; that no good work can add to that righteousness and no sin can diminish that righteousness.
