Let's talk about it.
"In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity." - St. Augustine of Hippo

This article is filled with one fallacy after another. You can't take a quote from one man and then say that every credalist believes that. It's absurd and you certainly can't say that no credalist as sought to show exegetically the problems with preterism. Perhaps, you should buy a copy of "A Case for Amillenialism" by Kim Riddlebarger. In "The Bible and the Future" Anthony Hoekema does not deal specifically with the preterist issue but shows the inherent problems in all forms of postmillenialism.
Furthermore, this article, nor any other article I have read written by a preterist shows what's wrong with the amillennial interpretation other than just calling it pessimistic. They want to be able to lump everyone in as a futurist. Futurism is not the historic position of the church. Futurism and preterism both make the same error by making the Scriptures only relevant to a specific group of people at a specific time. They are both heresies.
Paul very strongly condemns those who teach preterism. Exegetical gymnastics are done by the preterists to explain this away.
If someone as a pastor or elder has subscribed to the creeds they are under obligation to uphold those creeds. If they do not, they are liars. It has been the practice of heretics throughout the centuries to try to pretend that their beliefs match up with the creeds. If the person finds that the creed is contrary to Scripture they are bound to petition to have the creed changed. If the creed is not changed, the pastor or elder must leave the church. He cannot continue preaching these things contrary to the creeds while claiming that he adheres to them.
The fact is, the preterists will not deal with the true objections to their doctrine. They will not deal with the eschatological tension we find in the New Testament or the manner in which various prophecies were fulfilled. They want to be part of some secret club that knows so much more than those foolish Christians and don't want any of the difficulties with their interpretation to get in the way.

For whatever strength of arm he may have who swims in the open sea, yet in time he is carried away and sunk, mastered by the greatness of its waves. Need then there is that we be in the ship, that is, that we be carried in the wood, that we may be able to cross this sea. Now this Wood in which our weakness is carried is the Cross of the Lord, by which we are signed, and delivered from the dangerous tempests of this world.--St. Augustine
