Please feel free to add thoughts and views to this topic and even expand on it but I would like to keep it on the cloud, reaping/Elect and horses if possible, and I may add unto it as time allows, as it is impossible to put up all scriptures related to these 2 events in one post. This isn't about whether it is past, present or future, but more for knowledge on the symbolism/signs used in the Sacred Scriptures.
Revelation 14:14-16 and Reve 19:11-14 are interesting passages in revelation
The first passage shows one like unto a "son of man" on a cloud. He is shown with a Single Crown on His head and a sickle in His hand. John then sees another angel come out of the temple.
This angel is the one who tells the "one on the cloud" in a Loud Voice[used many times in revelation] to thrust in the sickle He is holding into the earth and reap.
Looking back in the scriptures to see what a cloud represents, we find God usually hid in a cloud called His "Glory" in which He also appeared at the Transfiguration and to which Christ ascended in Acts 1 in the NT. These are 2 of passages from the NT and OT:Exodus 16:10 Now it came to pass, as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.Revelation 14:14 And I saw, and lo, a white cloud, and upon the cloud [one] sitting like to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a Loud Voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
Luke 21:27 "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
That event appears to be the gathering of the Elect "wheat/sheep" shown in Matt 13:In Revelation 19, we see the "Word of God" on a white horse with many crowns. The armies of heaven are following Him which, in my view, may be the Elect that were reaped in chapt 14.? They are also on "White Horses", horses being symbols of swiftness, battle and courage and war in the OT. There are many symbolic ways horses are represented in the OT, both good and evil, and even as people/rulers.Matthew 13:30 'Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn." ' "
Reve 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes [were] like a flame of fire, and on His head [were] many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He [was] clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Jeremiah 4:11 At that time it will be said To this people and to Jerusalem, "A dry wind of the desolate heights [blows] in the wilderness Toward the daughter of My people -- Not to fan or to cleanse -- 12 A wind too strong for these will come for Me; Now I will also speak judgment against them." 13 "Behold, he shall come up like clouds, And his chariots like a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are plundered!"
Zechariah 10:3 Mine anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the he-goats; for the LORD of hosts hath remembered His flock the house of Judah[lost Sheep/Elect Remnant?], and maketh them as His majestic Horse in the Battle.

I have read some of Calvin's commetaries and he is correct in his assessment of those calling themselves "jews" and their interpretation of scripture ["deaf and blind"].
Blessings.
