I love studying revelation through the OT and another word I noticed used often in the OT is "EAST". What exactly is the "East Wind" and One being raised up from the East?
Revelation 16 also shows Kings from the East and Daniel 11 also shows "news" from the East and North will trouble the wicked King of the North. Ezekiel 25 shows the enemies of God being delivered up to the "men of the East" and almost appears to be "Saints" in some ways or jews being delivered up to Gentiles. God is using the kings of the north in revelation for wrath on a "rebellious" people and right now, it appears to me to be the corrupt religious rulers/Priests of OC Jerusalem.
Anyone want to discuss this topic pertaining to revelation and the Kings of the East? I believe revelation is bibically the destruction of OC Jerusalem in the 1st century, but mainly from an OT view right now. This is only one of multiple studies I am currently working on for a commentary on revelation in the future.
I believe too many christians are studying revelation more from the NT than the OT and in my view, that will leave the book of revelation more "mysterious" than it actually is I think.
Any views and comments are welcome but please use your own personal views from your studies of the Bible, not commentaries from other scholars if possible. Blessings.
