New policy for creating new threads...

If you desire to create a new thread, please post it in the form of a question if at all possible. We've had a lot of threads lately that have not been all that edifying, and I'd like to cut back on them. Katoikei, a good number of your posts for example been monologues and I would like to see some more interaction on your part. I've seen the same from other posters. I'm not mad at anyone, but I would simply like to see the level of quality of our discussions increase. Thanks for your cooperation.

Also, if anyone sees a post or a thread that is lacking, please notify me through the report post function that's in the upper right hand corner of each post.

    Thanks,
    Brandan
Ditch the Garbage! - Too many people are proud of their humility - I, on the other hand, am not humble - and am proud of it!

"Luther's New Testament was so much multiplied and spread by printers that even tailors and shoemakers, yea, even women and ignorant persons who had accepted this new Lutheran gospel, and could read a little German, studied it with the greatest avidity as the fountain of all truth. Some committed it to memory, and carried it about in their bosom. In a few months such people deemed themselves so learned that they were not ashamed to dispute about faith and the gospel not only with Catholic laymen, but even with priests and monks and doctors of divinity." - A complaint by German humanist Johann Cochlaeus.

Re: New policy for creating new threads...

No harm Darth, I need to cut back on the caffeine and get a life, all this posting is making me loose my natural hair. Yeah, for sure, questions are the delux way of extracting the best kind of debate from the lethargical stupour that we so often allow ourselves to descend into.

I promise you that my next post will be a thriller, a chiller, a mind spiller.

Do you honestly think that a question is the only way to elicit a good discussion ?

ps. By the way, I did have a question for the one called 'A Life of Prayer' it was : "What do you do with your morning blues ?" but I thought it was too cliched and then just got into Keith Miller's amazing thoughts which I believe would have elicited a response, eventually, based on some of the thoughts floating around on the forum...the other one I read some time back in the loo, one morning and it struck me as being one of the most inspired reads I had ever had. I was hoping that others might follow suit with something that really left them speechless. Yeah, I should have popped the question in.

    Peace,
    Katoikei

Re: New policy for creating new threads...

We have had far too many threads lately, which evidences a lack of organization of thought and careful reasoning of what constitutes a gospel issue. As a result, the same arguments are engaged over and over in multiple threads.

    I agree with you Brandan!
Now see here how sleepy-headed all our opponents are, and how little it helps a man to rely on the ancient fathers, for all their repute down the course of the ages! Were they not all equally blind to, yes, and heeldess of, Paul's clearest and and plainest words?
