Hello list,
I just finished the questions on the registration form, and know I have some questions on those questions.
"God wants all men to be saved."
How do you understand this verse:
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
"Which of the following more closely resembles your theological position"
Then two of the choices are 1) Calvinism (supralapsarian) 2) Calvinism (infralapsarian)
I don't really know this issue all too well, but I'd like to choose either the supralapsarian view or Ra McLaughlin's view:

"God loves all men"
Actually, I don't know if I've ever heard anyone even question this.
"Do you believe God gives all men a free will."
I suppose this depends on what you mean by 'free will'. If libertarian free will is meant, then no. But if 'free will' means we are not being constrained against our will from doing what we desire, then yes. God ordains all things. I agree with absolute predestination.
All for now. A little personal info: I'm a married man and a college student (math major at WMU). I also have a girl on the way (due March 17).
I think I might be off topic for this forum. If so, could you move this post to the appropriate forum? Thanks.
In Christ,
Chris
