I heartily agree--all thoughts and behaviors of any individual in time are the outworkings of God's eternal decrees for that individual; they are evidence; effects--never "causes" --and this is what makes infralapsarian logically incompatible with justification from eternity. With infras; Adam's behavior (fall: uncaused--free choice) is the cause of God's behavior (effect: electing choice). Infralapsarianism puts man in the driver's seat in this instance--and by extension--in its soteriological order also (justification upon belief for most who hold to the position); which is clearly unscriptural.

I like Arthur Pink. His book, The Sovereignty of God is an absolute classic, and one I heartily recommend to anyone serious in their walk with God, wanting to know who God really is.

    He comments on Eph. 1:3-5
Here also we discover the motive which prompted Him. It was "in love the that He predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself" - a statement which refutes the oft made and wicked charge that, for God to decide the eternal destiny of His creatures before they are born, is tyrannical and unjust.
It all goes back to some peoples' desires to have some role in salvation for eternity and their destiny in this life. Man loves to have some responsibility so that the glory goes to him even though God said He would NOT share His glory with another.

To charge God with tyranny and injustice is very dangerous indeed! I fear for anyone who would say such a thing!!

Notice verses end of 4-6 says, "It was in love, he predestinated us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will - to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves." NIV translation.

    I LOVE THIS!!!!!

I don't have to argue with anyone who says that, "God saw who would believe in Him first (by their own decision) and He saved those."

NO! NO! NO! This is blasphemy, because such a notion robs God of His Glory. God will absolutely NOT be robbed. Amen!!!!

May Ephesians 1:4-6 penetrate the very cores of our beings. May our security be sealed through these verses in this life and in the eternity to come!

    Glory to ALMIGHTY God!

Many blessings to you ALL, ALWAYS!!

    Kevin .
