Acts 16:30-31
30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
As the majority of faithful members here would know, these above verses are often used by our fullerite buddies to create a condition for getting saved. They would say that we are not yet saved until we take a step of faith or make a confession of faith.
It is my contention that this is a little presumptious. There is no condition in the scripture above. I say that because other scriptures clearly tell us of God's sovereign choice. There is NO PARADOX in the bible.
What must I do to be saved?
If I am saved by the decree of God from eternity past, to ask such a question is evidence that God is working, so the answer would be, to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. However, we need to view this through the lens of Romans 9 and God's electing power. There is no free will here at all.
