    Did Christianity Cause the Crash?

This was an interesting yet pathetically sad read:

    http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/20091...erity-gospel/2

Churchianity is so antichrist, it is almost comical.
Isaiah 45:7: I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Yea, there are at least a dozen of these evanjellyfish mega-whorehouses within a few miles of my home here in Riverside County CA! No traditional denominational names but strictly ones based on the drawing power of clever gimmick. I could not believe it when I moved here; never saw anything like it in the Midwest. I had seen it over in Orange County but I thought it was unique to that area!

Nonetheless, the relationship between the housing bust 'cut and run' and evanjellyfishism is not one of an obvious integrated principle--though there is some relationship. It is true that in any area with a lot of 'wealthy' (at least they THINK so) evanjellyfish members focused on the prosperity gospel will have more cut-and-run participants, simply because they live in areas where the false housing boom was greatest.

In actual fact, I think the prosperity gospel was largely exported to America from S. Korea.

The North Koreans and Chinese have mastered the prosperity gospel that they learned not from America but from the South Koreans (over 90% of the world's largest mega-churches are in S. Korea). They have established phantom state churches where state-trained preachers sermonize to state-trained members using Jesus-junk jargon. Then they parade such stinking whorehouses to Western visitors as examples of the government's 'tolerance' of Christianity! They even get tourists to donate money to the 'cause of Christ' in their countries, of course, it all goes right to the government.

Now see here how sleepy-headed all our opponents are, and how little it helps a man to rely on the ancient fathers, for all their repute down the course of the ages! Were they not all equally blind to, yes, and heeldess of, Paul's clearest and and plainest words?

You are probably right on this one Bob. I seem to remember the the charismatic leaders back in the early 80's like
Copeland, Hagin etc. praising Paul Yonggi Cho for his enlightened understanding of their false gospel.

Re: Did Christianity Cause the Crash?

David Yonggi Cho had 830,000 members in his church as of 2007. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Yonggi_Cho

This compares to 25,000 for Joel Osteen and 20,000 for Rick Warren in the United States. Clearly, the American charlatans are a puke poor imitation of those in S. Korea. There are many other prosperity gospel mega-churches in S. Korea that exceed the puny numbers of the U.S. 'pretenders' by exponential numbers (10 of the 11 largest evanjellyfish whorehouses in the world are there)! I'm sure that they love the Bible text 'In the multitude of counselors there is safety'.
