The world at large today is ever so blinded by God to the truth, that being a truth teller is now considered to be an act of terrorism.
The prophets of old were in a very similar climate. Speaking the truth to the wicked Jews of their day brought them heartache, imprisonment, torture, and ultimitely death. The reprobates of this world will always hate truth (Jesus Christ).
