Same old story: those who laugh at the Gospel of sovereign and unmerited Grace in Christ are given over by God to every form of wicked enslavement. No one can say that homosexual perversion itself and the acceptance of it by churches has not dramatically increased over the past 50 years.
In the New Testament we receive four Gospels, with the Acts of the Apostles, and fourteen Epistles of St. Paul, and seven Catholic Epistles, together with the Apocalypse; although we do not compare the Apocalypse, the Epistles of James, and Jude, and 2 Peter and 2 and 3 John with the rest.

The world at large today is ever so blinded by God to the truth, that being a truth teller is now considered to be an act of terrorism.
The prophets of old were in a very similar climate. Speaking the truth to the wicked Jews of their day brought them heartache, imprisonment, torture, and ultimitely death. The reprobates of this world will always hate truth (Jesus Christ).

Rom 8:18-21, (NASB), For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
