lets knock down a few false doctrines at once

let me start by saying Im not trying to insult anyone's intellegence
when I state some simple truths. First we know there was strong animosity between the Jews, Gentiles, and the samaritians. Thats probably an understatment but you get the picture. How would God rectify such deep-rooted hatred?
First remember when Jesus told Peter that he would be the rock upon witch he would build his church, and that what Peter would bound on earth would be bound in heaven("Peter being the first pope")? Also that he would give Peter the keys to heaven? How about the biblical use for speaking in touges, or the evidence for salvation claimed by charasmatics. some simple hermanutics will resolve these misscarriages of exposistion. Lets start with the day of pentecost Peter and the boys are in the upper room scared to death. The holy spirit has not yet come until this moment. Peter than filled with the Spirit began to preach in some fifteen different languages(which was prophesised in Isaiah and joel as a sign to the Jews). Three thousand men were saved and the Holy spirit now dwelt with them (note Peter is the vessel inwich God uses to unleash his Spirit). Second in Acts chapter 10 We are told of Cornelius and his household. To jump right to the point Cornelius recieves a vision to go and see Peter who dwells with simon a tanner by the sea side. Peter is also given a dream, when Peter wakes up and does not understand the dream the Spirit tells Peter that some men seek him. Peter sees the Gentiles and begans to understand the vision and we get the infamous bible verse Acts ch 10:34. Peter began to preach to the men and their household and the Holy Spirit was given to them. Then we have the samaritians Acts ch 8(please read)(note the Holy Ghost was not yet fallen on them until they encounter Peter) and the Holy spirit is now given to them. Lets recap Peter is the tool as Jesus fortold, not some Pope, tounges(languages) is a sign gift to the Jews standing by so God can unite all persons, and the evidence of the Holy Ghost explained. When Jesus named Simon, PETER, He used used the word "petros" which means rock...a piece of

When Jesus mentioned "upon this rock", He used a different word. PETRA, a mass of rock.

He used two different words.
Upon the rock in which Jesus will build His church, is the ROCK of the truth that He is God. Peter answered in verse 16...and that answer is the rock.
Jesus didn't set Peter up as the first pope, Jesus didn't build His church upon Peter, but upon the Rock...the Rock of Jesus.

Let me clear up what I think is a misunderstanding
I know Peter was not the first pope nor do I believe in the pope. To be honest with you I think the catholic church is a cult. I was simply trying to point out the error in there interpretation of scripture along with others who misinrerpret the Bible. Also the word petra in this verse means a foundation builder. you are also correct in your deffinition of petra just not in the form here. I know Jesus Is the rock, my point is the roles inwich Jesus gives his disiples. Peter being the leader so to speak. Were on the same side on this topic.

thanks for the interest, yes I was pointing out some error in the rc church as well as the church of god(or anyone who holds tags these verses to build there doctrine). I was trying to focus on proper hermanutics throughout the text. the church of god for example states in there doctrine that you are not saved until you show the evidence for salvation i.e. speaking in tongues. Also the gift itself Paul said tongues was a sign gift to the jews(as you know the jews would have never accepted the gentiles or samaritains unless God intervened supernaturaly). not some heavenly language or secret talk for those who just get saved or mature in Christianity. I hope this makes some sense. I again thank you for the interest .

MAtthew although I agree that differing views of salvation(tongues) is a false doctrine, the catholics having a denominational leader is not a false doctrine. They may have misinterpreted the rock/Peter verse, but misinterpreting one verse is not false doctrine.
How about mocking the Word of God in church by loud laughter? Some claim it is from the Holy Spirit. I don't recall anyone mocking Jesus with laughter loudly. It is outside the Bible. It doesn't exist as a verse to be done in church. It is mockery in the church. When someone says,"Jesus saves" & someone else laughs loudly & uncontrollably, is that not mockery? I find it to be false doctrine by claiming it is from the Holy Spirit with no verse to misinterpret. Sure laughter is good medicine is a fine verse, but it has no place as mockery. God is a jealous God one verse says, but we also know jealousy is not what we need in the church.
There are lots of false doctrines out there, & they are not just a misinterpretation of one verse.

YHWH's HOLY SPIRIT is HIS LAW in US.

The day MOSES brought down the written LAW, three thousand were killed.

The day HOLY SPIRIT was put into YHWH's BODY, US, three thousand were SAVED.

By the way it was on the same date. On the day of the FEAST of WEEKS.


YHWH does not expect US to live HIS HOLY LAW.
YHWH knows HIS HOLY SPIRIT will LIVE HIS HOLY LAW.
WE, as HIS BODY, must submit to YHWH's HOLY SPIRIT.

As our given bodies never deny US, WE must choose to never deny YHWH.

WE submit to YHWH's SALVATION, through MESSIAH YAH'SHUA, to HIS HOLY SPIRIT, and to HIS WORD (LAW), Genesis to Revelation.

ONE must not pick and choose what to believe in YHWH's WORD. HIS WORD is COMPLETE.

I have given up all my rights to YHWH
and HE has given ME HIS!!!!!!!
